This week's podcast recommendations

1.Sometimes the podcast about the internet, Reply All, has call-in shows where anyone can call in and talk to the hosts/ask a question. The most recent one covers internet security, speculates on whether or not your Alexa can get hacked, and ends with a really touching story of a Syrian refugee living in Turkey who taught himself English and is trying to attend a school in the US or Canada but can't.Listen here.2.This podcast interview of Jason Fried, founder of Basecamp software, by Shane Parrish's Knowledge Project podcast was really interesting. Basecamp is run unlike any other organization I've ever encountered – in the best way.One of the things that stuck out to me is how they measure the success of the launch of a new product feature. They don't utilize metrics like user adoption to determine if a new feature is successful, like most companies do.Instead, they look into how the feature affected the humans who made it. Did it tear them apart? Stress them out a lot? Bring them closer together?Listen here.See also: my other posts about podcasts.
